Alternator Repair and Installation
Mood:  a-ok

Rob's Guide

So you get into your car like any other day, turn insert your key into the ignition and turns and all you hear is a click. You try again and eventually you get no response. The problem could be a few things. A bad starter, A dead battery, or a bad alternator. To solve this problem you need to eliminate the possibilities. First you need to get a jump start. If it start easily, you can rule out a bad starter. The next thing you need to do is get to a auto parts store like Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts, or O'Reiley Auto Parts. They have a tester that can determine whether the problem lies with your battery, alternator or both. Since this post is designated for alternators I have a video on how to install an alternator for thos DIY'ers. If you have any questions or anything you would like to know about just send a comment.
